This is a pack containing a variety of meshes, blueprints, materials, textures and levels that will help you integrate a sci-fi cable collection into your scenes.
An Asset Zoo is included with this pack that contains all the assets of the pack, and shows you how they are used with the spline blueprint.
This pack contains 4 base cable meshes along with their respective plugs, sockets, & pre-simulated versions.
All cables, plugs & sockets come with 4 material skins.
How to use the basic spline blueprint:
The blueprint can be placed in your scene, in the mesh section input the cable you'd like to bend. Then click one of the white squares (which are called anchor points) and move them around to bend the mesh. If you would like to add more anchor points, just click an existing point, hold 'alt' then move it. This will duplicate the point and help you extend your cable.
Meshes have been created in a way best to work either on their own or with the help of the included spline blueprint. As splines can not use nanite meshes, meshes in this pack do not have it enabled by default, although you can enable it after you've made your spline and merged it into one mesh.
Once you have done this, if you would like a collision for your cable then you'll need to generate one, or turn on the 'use complex collisions as simple' in your new mesh's collision settings.
This product supports Nanite for Unreal Engine 5.0+
