Volumes created from geometry from 3ds max

Is there a way to create a volume from 3ds max? I want to create a mesh in 3ds max and when imported into unreal i want it to be a volume. I’ve tried putting collisions on it it unreal but it treats the mesh as hollow. the trigger happens only at the face. so it’s a on/off (like passing through paper) I want it to go into the volume stay on then off when you leave it. Any help is appreciated TY
