Voice Commands For Blueprint Section

Hello Epic and thx for this great comunity

I know one thing for sure , with unreal engine anything is possible , if not now will be soon .

Voice Assistant for blueprint section , what i wanna say its while im working on map editor to be able to speak with blueprints interface in background and do what im tell it to do . This will speed up the workflow and give you more time .

I start a project and i think about this while im work on it .

Just wonder if can be done ?

I think it could be done.
However, including a proper voice recognition solution would easily double the hardware requiremets for UE4. Mre RAM, more CPU (cores).
More of everything.
Also, describing a blueprint network in natural language tends to be rather verbose. You might end up with a rather awkward grammar where you have to describe a wiring path in a very convoluted way to avoid ambiguities :slight_smile:

I could see this being useful to invoke nodes. “Place node Set Actor Location” to have that node appear under your cursor. Would be very nice. I don’t see it being used to connect nodes and things however.

I’ve heard back from the developers and currently at this time, this specific type of feature is not on the road-map for UE4.
