Visualization: Grass/Artificial turf within defined areas (yards, turfgaps between pads)

Is there a way to get photorealistic grass/artificial turf on static meshes? I’ve been playing with the foliage tools for landscape, but a lot of projects I work on have tight, defined areas where art turf/grass is going. It’s for visualizations, so doesn’t need to have collision or animation (though animation options would be nice for the future).
Example: the grid pattern in the back right of this image

I made this mesh just for that occasion

It’s a little puffed up to look like a raised bed of grass. All it needs is the right material

It’s world position, so I can overlap beds without any hassle

In situ, with some earth underneath, it passes pretty well

I made the mesh using the geometry tools ( I’ll come back in a while when I recall the settings ). The material is from the landscape ground pack

Yes, it was basically a low box

Then remesh ( defaults ), then offset

Thanks for the workaround, I’ll play with that!
Really trying to get that level of photorealism from the foliage tools though. Looking for that impact on the client when they do a double take when looking at renderings.
Currently looking at layer painting and some tricky landscape geometry as a possibility.
