Visibility and Marketing Strategy for My Published Game on the Epic Games Store

Hello Support Team,

I have published my game, Breaking Point: Operation Exodus, on the Epic Games Store, but I cannot find it on the store, even when searching directly. The developer panel shows the status as “Published,” and key details like achievements, pricing, and descriptions seem correctly configured.

Game Details:

  • Artifact Name: breaking-point-operation-exodus
  • Publication Date: 10/28/2024
  • Languages: English, Spanish, German, French, Portuguese, Russian

Could you please help me verify the following:

  1. Is there any issue with the game’s visibility or regional availability?
  2. Are there additional steps I need to take to ensure my game is discoverable, such as tagging, optimizing descriptions, or any promotional options offered by Epic Games?

Additionally, I want to understand how to best promote my game:

  1. Does Epic Games offer advertising or promotional tools (e.g., featured placements, banners) for developers?
  2. Are there any recommended practices to increase visibility and engagement within the store?
  3. How does Epic Games prioritize games for discoverability, and is there a way to track the performance of my game on the platform (e.g., traffic or sales reports)?

I aim to refine my marketing strategy to reach more players and ensure my game is successful on your platform. I appreciate any guidance you can provide.

Thank you for your support.

Best regards,
Andres Salazar

Hey there,

I was able to locate your game with ease by searching “breaking point”. Making sure your game is tagged with all the applicable tags can help for sure if players are looking for anything specific such as ‘Shooter’ to the genre list. You can modify these under Dev Portal in the offers section.

As for additonal ways to help promote your game;
When your game is first released it will show up in recent releases on the front page. We also do tent pole sales that you can participate in through out the year using the discount price management tool in Dev Portal.
You can see your games performance in the analytics section of Dev Portal as well.

I would also recommend asking around in the Epic for Indies section of the forum for more suggestions and guidance from the general community. They even have a dedicated marketing section
