Virtual texturing

Hello, I’m having issues with virtual texturing.

When I load the project all the textures are jumbled up.
When I click on “Build” and “Build Texture Steaming” this sorts the textures out in the editor.

However, when I launch the game the textures remain all jumbled up

I’m not sure what is going on and to be honest, I’m not sure if using virtual texturing on assets is a good thing?

I would appreciate any suggestion on any fixes and/or some guidance on best practices.

What resolutions are you working with?

Doesn’t VT create it’s own internal pool of merged files?
If it doesn’t, what’s the ppintnof it? Who build stuff with 8k plus sized textures to use in a game???
