Seeking permanent or contract Unreal developer to help set up and run new LED volume film & TV virtual production facility in West London
Duties:
- Operate Unreal scenes during real time production
- Support Unreal artists in preparation of environments and sequences
- Troubleshoot and resolve any issues arising with the Unreal rendering and editing system
- Develop and improve efficient workflows for virtual production
- Assist with the initial setup and configuration of the Unreal rendering and editing systems
- Assist with support of the whole virtual production environment, including LED walls, video processors and camera tracking systems
- Maintain and ensure correct setup of virtual production hardware and software systems
Skills Required**:**
- 3+ years proven Unreal development experience
- Excellent knowledge of in game design and visual scripting with Unreal Blueprints
- Proven technical expertise with Unreal cameras, lighting and raytracing optimisation for high performance of real time environments
- Sound knowledge of TCP/IP networks configuration and troubleshooting
Skills Desired:
- Previous virtual production experience
- Experience setting up and operating Unreal nDisplay clusters
- Experience setting up and operating Unreal multi-user editing
- Technical knowledge of and experience with digital cine cameras, especially Arri.
- Experience of working with camera tracking and lens calibration
- Film or video production experience
- Understanding and experience of VFX workflows
- Understanding and experience of digital video signals and file formats
- C++ coding experience
