I am trying to make a portrait proportion(1090*1920) video with vcam, connected with Ipad. I found two ways to achieve this.
Firstly, recording in a normal horizontal ratio with the 16:9 mask in the ipad Vcam, and then in the Details panel of VcamActor(Self), Crop Setting - Cropped Aspect Ratio - change to 0.56.
The second way is that, when I record in ipad Vcam, I physically rotate ipad 90 degree, and the export the video as it is , and rotate the video file. This way I don’t need to tweek anything but my neck hurts as I review and adjust things.
Ideally, I would want the vertical ratio already in my iPad Vcam, so that I don’t need to tweek at all after the scene is recorded. I tired to change Filmback - Sensor Width and Height, or already change the Cropped Aspect Ratio, but as soon as I start recording in ipad vcam, it changes back to horizontal proportion. It forces me to stick to one of those preset ratios in ipad Vcam.
My question therefore is: Is there a way I can record already in ipad Vcam in vertical proportion and get the vertical proportion footage in the Sequecer, so that I don’t have to further adjust? I need to make lots of video this way, so I want to optimize my workflow.
Thank you so much for reading it!
