So after spending countless hours in Unreal, all the way back from UDK as an environment artist, I’ve always struggled about how annoying it was to shift objects around the viewport. Basically, we know we can ZOOM towards a selected object by pressing the “F” key, and we can place objects into the scene by dragging them directly onto a surface from the content browser.
My question is:
Is there a way we can zoom AN OBJECT to the viewport camera, snapping it in-front of the camera, OR have an object selected somewhere within the world, and then say we move the camera to a different location, and, for example, “CTRL+MMB” click on a surface to snap that selected object’s pivot to the point we just clicked on. This seems like a very simple and minor feature, yet it’ll make things so much easier when building levels and worlds.
Maybe there is a way to keybind it or make a tool that does it?
