Not sure if this is really the correct sport to ask this, but seems to be one of the more active forum sections. I work for a VFX Studio that’s using Unreal for Virtual Production. Being new to this Studio from another VFX Studio, which I’m used to the MoCap stage running on internally developed tools on the Linux Platform. The previous studio had a setup where a MoCap actor could look at a screen setup as a sort of virtual mirror so they can see their live performance.
With Unreal as it currently stands with the viewport being streamed to an external TV, it’s backwards and needs a video flip on the Y axis to mimic a mirror behavior.
Any thoughts on how to do this?
I’ve already looked into video flipping / inverting the display via Windows driver with Nvidia. But rotates in a way that’s no a true invert / flip behavior. This is something that I think should have probably been done already as AR content is all about doing virtual clothing on people. So it’s not entirely uncommon, and pretty sure it’s just a needle I can’t seem to find at this time.
