Videos embedded inside of Reality Capture help still open Internet Explorer when clicked

I don’t know how many years ago Internet Explorer was declared dead by Microsoft, but I’m willing to bet it’s more than 5.

Could the developers please make sure all links inside the software that open an external browser simply use whatever the user’s default browser is rather than specifically opening Internet Explorer?

I was reading through the help file and wanted to watch the linked YouTube video about Control Points in the browser rather than in a little window inside of Reality Capture - when I clicked on the link to the video IE opened with a warning that I shouldn’t be using it anymore.

You guys aren’t the only devs who do this.  It seems to be a common practice.

If I can attach a screen grab I will.

Also - I just noticed I’d posted a similar problem before here 8 months ago:  Unable to export - Script Error - still using Internet Explorer?? – RealityCapture Support (capturingreality.com)

You’ve released a new version, but the problem still exists?

Hi Paul, with new release there were just minor changes. Thank you for reporting this.

Hi Dev its in 2023 now but the payment link still opens Internet Explorer when I try to pay directly… and the problem is paypal won’t support this old browser. Could you please fix it?
