Video Card Memory Error - 4080 Super with basic scene

Hi there,

I have a new system with all updated drivers. When trying 16k panorama render of the Lake House sample Scene I’m getting following error:

“Out of video memory trying to allocate a rendering resource. Make sure your video card has the minimum required memory, try lowering the resolution and/or closing other applications that are running. Exiting…”

My Vram should be enough to handle this, right?

Even same error is happening with an empty new scene i just tested…
Something must be wrong, as it cannot crash 4080 Super’s 16GB VRAM…

Anybody any idea?
Would it be a bug? as its even in an empty scene?

Hi, I wanted to ask the same question. I had doubts about my RAM memory maybe not being enough, but the message is the same for the graphic card memory not being enough. I have RTX 4080 so I was searching if it wasn’t enough, but there should be some error. Thank you for your post, I hope that the next version will resolve the issue.
I’ll be waiting with you for the solution.
