my game is showing victory screen before players even select their teams
Hmmm are you using fortnite’s built in Last Standing ends Game option?
If yes there’s a high change your players during the team selection phase, they end up in the same team.
Eg let’s say you start the game with 2 players
Player 1 - Starts on Team 1
Player 2 - Starts on Team 2
After the game starts during the team selection phase Player 2 want’s to switch to Team 1, thus when Player 2 switches to it Team 1 will have 2 players and Team 2 will have 0 players ruling Team 1 victorious for being the last one standing.
What I would recommend is on game start assing all players to incrementing teams
eg. if you want a 4 Team game where players pick their teams, on Round start make Player 1 → Team 5,Player 2 → Team 6, Player 3 → Team 7 etc… and then have them switch to Team 1-4.
Obviously in this scenario if all players end up going to 1 team the game will still end BUT it won’t end mid switch since all players in the team picking phase will have their own unique team.
