I wanted to share a project I’ve been building that I think a lot of UE5 developers will find useful — VibeUE, a free, open-source MCP (Model Context Protocol) server that connects AI coding tools directly to the live Unreal Editor.
VibeUE has been in active development for 6 months, live on FAB for 3, and has been shaped from day one by community feedback. It lets you use AI to understand, explain, and modify your Unreal Engine projects through natural conversation — Blueprints, materials, landscapes, widgets, animation, audio, StateTrees, and more.
It works two ways:

In-Editor AI Chat — A built-in chat panel right inside UE5. No external tools needed. Free API key available at vibeue.com.

External MCP Connection — Hook up Claude Desktop, VS Code, Cursor, or any MCP-compatible AI tool to drive Unreal from your IDE.

Community-driven and looking for contributors 
VibeUE isn’t a corporate product — it’s built by developers, for developers, and the community has been a huge part of getting it to where it is today. Whether you want to add new Python service coverage, improve MCP tools, help with docs, or just report bugs and share ideas — all contributions are welcome. The project is MIT licensed and fully open on GitHub.
