Very buggy developing environment. I loose work often, many features don't work.

I would recommend Epic spend resources into this, every single time I used unreal I have encountered substantial problems, generally related to building. I have lost my work several times due to crashes and corrupted saves. I haven’t been able to compile a project since over a week ( I am working with blueprints only.) I have dedicated some time to setting up source control in unreal, but that didn’t work either, so I ended up copy pasting the versions myself and backing up. The most frustrating thing of all of this is that I not once been told what went wrong or had an error message show up, nothing I could google. I could only search for really generic problems ( and I found a lot of people with generic problems, I’m not the only one.) And I had problems with : Compiling, source control, Restoring saved files, building lighting, Deploying to windows, importing old content.
My hope was that all of these problems where source of ONE really dumb problem I have, that could be fixed. But without any kind of error message or any way of completely uninstalling unreal engine I have no way of knowing.
I have used another engine, and I have rarely encountered issues. I am sure I am not the only one, I have heard from other developers suffering from crashes and loosing work.
Just wanted to let you know you lost a user to competition. It’s a shame, the engine is pretty cool.

i got no issues with crashes like that

Hi ,

We certainly would like to be able to help you out and get you moving forward! Please post a report on the bug reports section of the answerhub (link in signature) detailing what steps you are taking when the crash/corruption occurs. The more specific you can be with the reproduction steps you are taking, the easier it will be for us to assist you more in depth and try to find the root cause of the problem. In your bug report on the answerhub make sure to include your dxdiag, any crashlogs or callstacks if this is specifically a crash, and/or detailed reproduction steps. Thank you!
