Version Error when using git(vscode) to transfer a freshly created project from windows to linux computer (or vice versa)

When one of us makes a project, it launches fine, when we use vscode to transfer it to the other persons computer, they get this error. we are both using the same version (5.3.2)

LogLinux: Warning: MessageBox: The following modules are missing or built with a different engine version:

  BossGame

Would you like to rebuild them now?: Missing BossGame Modules: No is implied.
LogCore: Engine exit requested (reason: EngineExit() was called)
LogExit: Preparing to exit.

Does anyone have a solution? We have searched around on the forums and it seems anyone having this problem has no responses to their post.
