Version 1.0.2.2600 RC release

Hi guys,

In the recent update your changelog states the below

  • Improved filtering experience and bug fixes

I am not sure if your improvement introduced a bug since the option to mark by polygon count disappeared.
Unfortunately from my point of view this is a serious downgrade.
And if that is an intended change could you please let me downgrade the software to the previous version if possible.
Where could I download the previous version?

Regards
Marcin

Hi guys,

Am I the only having this problem?

Regards
Marcin

It has vanished here too!

Hi Gotz,

At least I am not alone!

Let’s see if it can be brought back…

Marcin

Yeah, the more, the merrier!
I have to admit I never used it before though and I’m not quite certain how it works.
How or rather to what purpose did you use it?
Sometimes, there are other ways…

It was not only a convenience but a very practical tool for me.

If you look at the screen grabs you will notice each of them has some floating bits of mesh around.
There is no easy way to remove it now.
And it causes some problems so far for me.

  1. Unwrap - takes longer and sometimes fail due to this extra bits.
  2. Since Unwrap fails, texturing is a problem as well.
  3. When simplifying to a target triangle count unfortunately it takes into the account the random number of triangles the floating bits are made of.

I only hope devs removed that option by mistake and it is coming back soon!

Ah, so the option was for a min or max polycount of an object?

You can still “box” all of the floaters and mark them individually.
Pain in the a** but at least you could continue working…

Hello everybody,
as for the filtering tool: Filtering Tool

Thank you!

Looking forward to that update!
