Greetings everyone, I’m excited to share my new Batman fan-made short film titled “Vengeance.” The inspiration for this project came from the captivating “Tokyo Back Alley” assets by BlackMediumSmall. The incredible detail and beauty of these assets motivated me to create a short film around them.
Reflecting on my portfolio of 60 short films over six years, I noticed that Batman-themed content consistently garnered the most views. Initially, I considered a remake using existing animations and characters, but the introduction of the Batman character into the Tokyo environment sparked a completely new and compelling storyline in my mind.
To develop and refine this idea, I sought assistance from ChatGPT, which provided valuable insights and key punchlines. The collaboration with ElevenLabIO added an emotional layer to the AI interaction, allowing for dynamic adjustments in voice stability.
Despite the initial plan of 137 shots over 36 days, I made the decision to prioritize quality over quantity. This led to the exclusion of 16 shots, and I extend my apologies to Leather Studio for the adjustments. The focus shifted to a Hong Kong style, reminiscent of the game “Sleeping Dogs,” emphasizing elements such as water drops, black alleys, blood, and reflections.
While I had initially included shots of Batman on top of buildings and riding the Batmobile for their dramatic effect, I opted for a more logical and stylistically unique approach. This decision aligns with my vision for a Hong Kong-style film.
I sincerely hope you enjoy the film. If you’re a fellow filmmaker passionate about Unreal Engine, feel free to connect with me for potential collaboration and support on your future projects. Special thanks to the community and talented artists behind the plugins and assets used in the film, which are credited in the acknowledgments.
Finally, here is a list of plugins inadvertently omitted from the credits:
Thank you once again to the community and the brilliant minds behind these plugins and assets, enabling the creation of this film.
