Currently, creators can make janky custom vehicles, but we have very limited options beyond placing a model on top of an existing vehicle. This approach is clunky and doesn’t always cover all angles cleanly, especially for stylized or non-traditional vehicle designs.
Please add an option to toggle vehicle visibility on/off. This would allow creators to hide the default vehicle model while still using its physics and driving functionality.
Until full custom vehicle support is added, this feature would provide a simple and powerful workaround for creators to implement unique vehicle designs and improve visual consistency in their experiences. It would significantly expand creative flexibility and help maintain immersion across diverse art styles.
Seriously. Most the good vehicles like Fang or Dirt Bike have no customization, so if its been 2+ years of zero customization to these vehicles, why not make it easier for us to customize them with such a simple fix?
Really we should be able to add devices to a scene graph and modify their skeleton and skeletal mesh.. UEFN compared to UE is so limited though, it is 5% the capabilities.
visibility is one thing, another would also be points of interest for creature or vehicle.
like where is the seat? door interaction point? camera’s spawn location + scripting etc.
many devices or stuff that is either focused fully for fortnite, but less for modding or easy variation for custom created content even on default assets? as in having a lot of the sub components + a way to be used? be it a 1-3 seater bike with default physics/movement and skeleton or as above points to UE.
