Hey there!
Im on UE5.1 i added the vehicle template to my 3rd person map and i can’t get the car moving or the Char.
So i added the vehicle to my project, put the car Pawn on the map, on the BP of my char after the IMC of my player i added the IMC of the car. i tried to go to details to change posessing to player 0 it doesnt move at all and no HUD is displayed, also if i have both IMC one after the other both dont move.
i also tried to copy the IA to the same folder as the default ones, went to my Char IMC added the IA for throtle and break and nothing.
My final goal is to have a 3rd person Char that can hop in and out of a car,i tried following the Tut from Gorka on youtube and i can make the acion on getting in, but when i change the colision to overlap all dynamic i can pass through the car.
Thank you so much!!! i was already thinking of doing something along this lines next but after that i was lost and i searched for a week on youtube and google and couldnt find nothing apart from that this template was broken on 5.1. but again thanks man!
But now when i exit the vehicle both me and the vehicle disapear but my capsule is still there and i can move it.
It was the set hidden node going crazy
Also i can posses and drive the vehicle when i get out i have my player, try to get in the vehicle and no thrust no wheels moving. Ill upload my blueprints tomorrow, should help you more on helping me. Thanks again
thats how i have them set up, box on the car is on dynamic colision, apart from that didnt touch anything else i can always posses the car and get out not matter what but after entering the first time and exit, even if i walk out of the box i can posses it but cant drive it not even steer.
i think you miss-understand me, that wasn’t my video just one that per-chance got linked to and i book marked it for future referance, at the moment i’m not using UE5 as my gpu can’t handle it, maybe try contacting the author of the video
