I kindof fixed all of my problems, but now i dont have collision on my wheels. The vehicle tries to drive, and sometimes does, but the wheels dont have collision. I’ve played around with the radius of the wheel setup in the simple vehicle movement, but this dont seem to have collision, only drive force
Actually, just forget that this is a question. I have solved all of my problems and my tanks is running as smooth as possible. 1 week ago i thought this was a good idea, and im open to answer any of your problems
Hello, recently i’ve been trying to make a tank in unreal engine. It has 18 wheels, and later i will add a tank thread.
But first i want to make the wheels, which i thought would be an easy process after all the videos i’ve seen about it. When i tried it, the vehicle was flying all over the place, and when i tweaked the physics asset settings, the wheels started falling off or even having a large offset.http://prntscr.com/fwex3f Here i have the root’s simulation set to simulated, while the wheels are set to default. This large offset also happens when the root is default, while the wheels are running simulated. Although this seems to work (minus the fact that the wheels are like a kilometer appart) the collision dont always seem to work, and the wheels sometimes fall through the ground.
When i set the root to default and the wheels to kinematic, the whole vehicle stays in tact, but it spazzes all over the place. I have designed the tank in Blender, and have tried scaling it up and down. This whole vehicle think has taken alot of time, and i’d be really happe if we’d manage to solve it here!
Wait so wtf did you end up doing dude?
