Vehicle Problem Ground

Hi all,

i try setting vehicle with tutorial from wiki , but i have problem with car, car body is on ground and wheel past in ground, please help me.

I using thist tutorial A new, community-hosted Unreal Engine Wiki - Announcements - Unreal Engine Forums1-_Overview_and_Car_Setup

personnally i use this page https://docs.unrealengine.com/latest/INT/Engine/Physics/Vehicles/VehicleUserGuide/

to me it looks like you haven’t set the wheel radius in the wheel blueprint or you haven’t set the wheel bp in the vehicle blueprint

Hi,
thanks, but i have set wheel llook at on screenshot

try adding your own tyre/tire type (data asset)
sounds strange but sometimes it helps

also a screen shot of the mesh with show bones ticked, so that i can see where the root bone is when compared with the mesh

i set own tire but dont effect, maybe collision or skeleton? I post my project

i always follow these pages
https://docs.unrealengine.com/latest/INT/Engine/Physics/Vehicles/VehcileContentCreation/
https://docs.unrealengine.com/latest/INT/Engine/Physics/Vehicles/VehicleUserGuide/

depending on your 3d program i have some video’s on my youtube channel

Here is my project with car problem, sedan is ok, but my car is always problem with ground, and i using modo

CarTest.zip 869.1 MB

Maybe anybody finding solve for me

thanks

sorry but i’m not going to dl 900mb just to test
try just the car as a fbx , there maybe issues with the modo fbx exporter

i try it export from maya, but dont effect i post link to fbx car

please try it , thank you

ok a quick look after import tells me the bones are not right, i say it again, X=forward Z=up if you don’t do it that way you will have problems

atm you rig has x=forward z=right y=down
i don’t use modo or maya so i can’t tell you how to fix that

I had the same issue, my solution was to use the correct bone names.
