VDB sequence is off?

So I’ve got a pretty basic VDB sequence export out of Embergen at 24hz simulation speed, set as 1-199 frames for export. Upon importing into UE 5.3 with Sparse Volumetrics plug in, it correctly shows that it’s going to import frames 1-199. But upon actually getting VDB into the sequencer, the range only goes to frame 159 and then loops again. Sequencer is set to 24 fps so I’m not sure I can make it any more simple than that?

The VDB volumetric animation range nest in the sequencer correctly displays the right VDB, so it’s not some other one I’m mistaking. Also tried creating a new VDB Material Actor from scratch to see if that reset the frame range but it still gets pegged to frame 159-ish for whatever reason and stops short. Any ideas??

Even in details window for the VDB import itself it shows 200 index items so there’s definitely information for frames 1-199 in here. For some reason Sequencer is just ignoring a portion of them at the end…

and one other interesting thing to note is that the 159 frame range on properties for the volume sequence in Sequencer show an asterik at end of incorrect range, as well as wrong tick number

oh, disapointed this is not answered yet, I would assume its frame rate or fps related. trying to keep the FPS either 30 or 24 (hence the missing frames) perhaps. have you tried changingf the project and / or the sequence frame rate? not sure if that info is even encoded
