I’ve been investigating something for a few days now with no avail. Specifically the .ogg and .flac audio file extensions support in Unreal Engine 4. UE4.22 feature notes clearly state that support for these formats was added in this version, and indeed on Windows both extensions are supported. However it’s not the case on Linux (no idea about the Mac), engine simply doesn’t recognize these formats.
Why aren’t these two codecs supported on Linux? Is it because of some kind of patents? Or perhaps Linux support is WIP and I’m making an elephant out of a mosquito?
