Value and height of Event Tracks in Timelines

If I add an Event Track in a Timeline, is there any use for the Value-parameter of my Keys?
For now I only use the time-parameter and set the value to “0”, so the event fires at the specific time. So, can I do more with Event Tracks?

And 2nd: If the Value have no use, can I reduce the height of this curves? Because I’m using alot of Event Tracks in one Timeline so I have to scroll alot.
(If I right click on the Event Track, the slider is already at the left )

Being able to use values would be really awesome but to a newbie like myself it doesnt look like Event tracks use values at all.
