valley of the ancient 5.6 version

valley of the ancient taking ages to launch under 5.6 ! especially on the first 3% of “Registring actors” am I missing something or a bug ? … and it’s buggy : monster robots died before you shoot it !

Im currently registering actors now too, megascans ones have so far taken 30 mins and only 1% done

I too am experiencing a really long load time. I don’t have a slow machine. I have an Intel 14th gen CPU, 64GB RAM and a 20GB Nvidia RTX 4000 GPU

CPU periodically is pegged to 100%.

Stuck on Registering Actors 0%

I also see a secondary progress bar saying “Waiting for static meshes to be ready 0/1” with a filename referencing a Megascan. Perhaps, every minute, I see the bar jump from 0 to 100% and move onto a different file.

Seems like there is an issue

  1. The progress bar isn’t updating properly
  2. If it’s waiting for static meshes to be ready, perhaps there is something else going on as there is no disk activity and it is unclear exactly what “being ready” involves
