Hi, I was wondering if there’s any tutorial about how to archive ayes blinking and mouth animation with flat 2D images with transparency like in this Tutorial. to make faces like Lego movies (like the tutorial) or South Park, wich characters dont hold eyes and mouths to be added later in the animation process.
I’d like to model all my characters in a PS1 fashion, very low-poly with handpainted textures as an artistic approach, that includes having the ayes static but i though that I could, at least add some eyes and mouth animation like mentioned to add a little of personality to the characters.
As the Blender tutorial mention it, I know UV animation is not build-in in blender and probably not usual, it’s archived through “drivers” and I know that I can animate a material in Unreal Engine through the material editor, but it would be a constant animation, And I’d like to control it. Zelda Ocarina of Time and Majoras Mask used this technique in Link ayes blinking, so maybe someone can point me to the right tutorial or something.
Thank you for your time in advance
