UV Channels in UVEditor different from asset properties (asset edit window)

I like UE5s new UV editor a lot, the auto UV algorithms are amazing and fast. I would love to use it to create better lightmap UV channels, but I can’t. After editing the Lightmap UV channel in UE5s UV editor , the old UVs still show up in the asset property window (Ctrl+E). How can I force UE5 to use my edited UV channel and forget the the old one??? What use is a UV editor if the channels aren’t used by UE?
