I’m trying to render a video in Unreal Engine 5 with the sequencer, but the gradients are really poor:
As you can see in the screenshot with the red arrows, the fog gradient is not smooth, but choppy.
I use a MacBook Pro M1 Max, but I cannot render video with the Movie render queue plugin: Unreal engine crashes at each rendering attempt (so impossible to add anti-aliasing to try to smooth out the gradient ).
Render Settings: 3840x2160 resolution with 60FPS (you can see a screenshot of the settings).
I’m new to this and don’t know if anyone else has encountered this problem with renderings on Unreal Engine.
However, I found the name of a tool (a technique) that allows you to smooth out these color bands: dithering.

On this website, they say it’s “An intentionally applied form of noise used to prevent patterns such as color banding in images”.
→ Do you know if it is possible to apply a similar setting in the unreal engine rendering settings? This could perhaps solve this color band problem that appears on the video renderings that I produce.
→ do you know another method to avoid having this “grain” throughout the rendering?
