Hi, I’m new to RC, comming from the Pix4D environment.
I’m working on a large 3D model of an airport terminal building. The images were taken from a drone in both nadir grid and 2 oblique flights, as well as horizontal facade images of all 4 sides of the building.
RC takes only the nadir and oblique images in account but not those of the facades.
Is there a way in RC to combine those orthofacade images wih the nadir and oblique ones?
Yes you can use manually placed control pints to connect components. Was there a separate component created only from facade pictures ?
Please could you post screenshots of your project ?
If the result is 73 components, probably that there is not enough of sufficient overlap in between images of facades. Normally you should end up with one component containing aligned all pictures together or 2 components one for areal images and one for facades of the building. That can be later connected manualy with control points.
What are your alignment settings ? Can you as well post screenshot of 1ds window ?
I’ve run the same images trough Pix4D and could connect the facades with nadir and oblique images. But, the final result, even with facade images, was not nearly as good in Pix4D as with my first try with CR.
Following are screenshot from 1SD and alignement settings:
Please try:
Grouping the images - Click on Images and Group calibrations w.r.t. Exif
and change the alignment settings:
Max features per image to 80 000
Preselector features to 20 000
Maybe this will alow you to get better alignment.
One more option is to create alignment for the facades as separate project and if this works correctly. Import it as separate component. But it seems that you do not have enough overlapping images of the facade.
I’ve tried what you said, now there are 58 components.
What do you mean by grouping the images? When I go to Images - Inputs, there is only the option “Group” for Group calibrations w.r.t. , there is no other option. So how is this relevant?
