Using UEFN Assets in other UE projects?

Wondering if there is a way to export and if I can use the Assets in UEFN in an UE project?

Hey there @espr3ss0! From what I understand, Fortnite assets (and anything provided by the Unreal Engine for Fortnite licenses) are only able to be used within UEFN unless provided by Epic in/with Unreal Engine regularly. I’d take a look at this supplemental EULA and each of the other listed EULA’s to verify though!

4.2. Conditions on Epic’s License Grant to You to Use UEFN. You may only use UEFN as Epic expressly authorizes under these Terms. You may not do or attempt to do any of the following with respect to UEFN or any of its parts:

Copy, reproduce, distribute (including via a network server), display, or use UEFN in a way that is not expressly authorized in these Terms.
Sell, rent, lease, license, distribute, or otherwise transfer UEFN.
Reverse engineer, derive source code from, modify, adapt, translate, decompile, or disassemble UEFN or make derivative works based on UEFN.
Use UEFN to infringe or violate the rights of any third party, including but not limited to any intellectual property, publicity, or privacy rights.
Use, export, or re-export UEFN or any information of Users accessing your UEFN Content in violation of any applicable law or regulation.
Violate any of Epic’s policies applicable to you, including behaving in a manner that is contrary to the Fortnite EULA, Community Guidelines or Creator Content Guidelines in your creation of UEFN Content or use of your UEFN, or in your collaborations with other Creators.

Thanks. :frowning:

Hey @SupportiveEntity how does the introduction of FAB affect this license. Can we use content from FAB for UEFN in UE commercially?

Hey there @me-zo! Each of the FAB licenses for content have their own rules. UEFN assets themselves will remain UEFN only in most cases unless on FAB, then they will go by the respective license attached. For example, many will share the “UEFN - Reference Only” license which would only allow you to use them in UEFN as reference.

I would definitely take a look at which assets on FAB you’re considering and verify which licenses are available. Personal licenses that aren’t reference can be used commercially, but what determines personal or business is how much your work makes. I’d recommend taking a thorough read through the FAB EULA before making any decisions asset wise.
