Using Slate to draw a Grid Pattern to Screen - Any tips for faster line rendering?

Placing the mesh on the camera is all well and good until I get too close to something and it clips right through (which will definitely happen with the cockpit and FP-meshes) - And if it’s too close it’ll get caught by the clipping plane. Again though, while all good suggestions none of them will be faster than a wireframe. It’s just the way of doing it with loads of slate elements like this is not such a great way to do so ;P.

Hopefully Mr Darnell or Mr Noland will have some solid suggestions for performance being the wizards of Slate and RHI/draw stuff respectively.
