Using persistence devices without publishing

I make creative maps for my friends and I, and I wanted to experiment with the persistence features added to some devices a while back, but I discovered that these won’t save between sessions if your map is not published. This was very frustrating for me, as I didn’t want to go through the process to get approved for publishing my creations. Will there be a system added where people can use these features over different play sessions and save progress without publishing? Perhaps a new setting for “Test Mode” where you can toggle between saving data between sessions and resetting it.

In UEFN if I’m not mistaken you can make a “Private Code” even If you don’t have a creator code. Just make sure your friends are in your team. Also Keep In Mind unlike public codes you can’t update a private code.

Hey PasuljMajstor,

Don’t worry about creating a Private Upload, they are not Published, they are just for testing at the server phase.
You’ll notice when using a Launched Session that it does not test well for PreGame & Game phase spawning, and unless its been updated recently, does not have a PreGame phase but you will start on use as Island Start spawnpads. Testing with a Private Upload is essential.
But yes your list of private uploads can get quite long and we haven’t been given the ability to delete them.
