Is there a method to use the IK retargeter in 5.5 to create Root Motion animations? (from an animation that does not have it) I see in the Post Settings there is a retarget op called Root Motion Generator. Any documentation anywhere? I fiddled with it and it almost seems to work. The ultimate goal would be to use the retargeter to generate the root motion on the fly but worst case would be ok if i could just burn root motion anims.
So on the fly do you mean real time retargeting?

I know how to do realtime retargeting. That’s what I’m doing already.
–What I want to do is to generate root motion from my animation, that does not already have root motion. I feel like that is almost happening, I just cant quite get it to work
(Also to hide the skeletal mesh instead of using an invisible texture, you can simply unset visible..
and then set Always Tick Pose and Refresh Bones
this means that the skel mesh animates even when hidden.)
