Using hit animation, without disturbing the blend

Hey. I am trying to make it so everytime the enemy hit someone he also hits with a animation “Play Animation” node. But then if he gets close and hits and i walk away again he stops hitting but he is not going back to running or using the blend i made for him.

Also: i have it set so when a object that is on the enemy overlaps with the Hero it damage him because ut sets of a timer so i can set how often it should damage him. but if i set it to 1/2 in the node it hit 2 times every second. but it takes 1 second for just to BEGIN hitting it should be instant hitting on overlap and THEN 2 hits every second.
