Using GrantedApplicationImmunityTags on GameplayEffects

Anyone successfully using immunity tags on their gameplay effects from C++? 4.24.1

I am able to use ApplicationTagRequirements just fine. There is a section in the method FActiveGameplayEffectsContainer::HasApplicationImmunityToSpec in GameplayEffect.cpp that is never getting executed and is currently beyond my current C++ knowledge on what is going on.
