Using ControlRig for first person view

I’m currently trying to set up a first person shooter, and one thing I want to do is have full body and control like Star Citizen. Rather than setting up a full body IK system like they did (at least for now) I want to start a bit more simple by just using ControlRig to control the camera’s pitch, rather than using an aim offset, and also camera stabilization of translation and rotation. There’s a lot of resources for learning how to use ControlRig, but nothing really specific to one topic, so I was wondering if anyone could give me a push in the right direction for learning how to do this.
