Using animation notifies in sequencer?

Using 5.2, I have a character animation that has animation notifies. The animations are being called in a level sequence, but the notifies aren’t sending to the ABP.

I can add the events manually in sequencer, but this is tedious and seems like it should be unnecessary.

For this animation I’m using a sequence made by a take recording, and I haven’t had similar issues with the non-take animations on the same character in the sequence.
