Using a mouse widget as default cursor is adding input lag

Hello SquidFigther,

This is a known issue, however it is a limitation of software cursors. I would like to mention though, that there is a request (UE-20597) in for the implementation of custom hardware cursors. This feature should eliminate the lag that you mentioned. I will provide updates with any pertinent information as it becomes available. Thank you for your time and information.

Make it a great day

I replace Default Cursor under Project Settings->User Interface->Cursors with a widget, but the widget does not end up at the mouse position. The widget lags behind in position and is following the mouse. This is somewhat hard to show in a picture as you cant see the default mouse cursor. The lag is very noticeable as two out of two of my teammates could tell the lag without me mention it, after changing the cursor to a widget. Any help on this issue would be much appreciated.

Thanks for response.

What I actually found now is that you can set the command “Slate.FoldTick 1” and get a much less lag. I am not sure if the lag still exist though it might. Hardware cursor support sounds like a nice improvement that I hope will be implemented.
