User widget "Play Animation" node was working flawlessly. A few days later and it no longer works.

So I made a mechanism where a player enters a trigger box and it plays a user widget animation on overlapbegin, then plays it in reverse on overlapend. The animation is a simple fade in effect. It is supposed to fade an Interact UI on screen when the player enters, and fade it out when they leave. This was working 100% for about a week. Now during testing I noticed it no longer works. The blueprint that controls this mechanism had not been touched and the references are still made. The flow of execution passes through the node so I know it isn’t stopping there. The triggerbox still works to interact, but the animation simply no longer plays on screen. Does anyone know what may be causing this?
