Hi guys,
our company is a large architectural practice where fairly large models with lots of context are imported/ used. I have posted a similar post 2 years ago, since then, nothing has improved in the UI.
We have struggled with the Twinmotion’s UI a lot. Whilst the overall improvements on the graphical side of the software are great and welcomed, the underlying issue that restricts people form using TM is the UI which is pretty bad. There are number of things that make people frustrated with the software and ultimately not wanting to use it. These issues are purely UI based. I have listed the main points that we would like to see below:
- the scene browser:
*ability to lock layers - when locked, it is not possible to select it / modify it
-
ability to group objects / merge them. currently any selection of an object expands the full hierarchy of the objects without a simple way of going back to the parent of the object
-
currently the “eye” icon showing visibility is confusing as you can have a container not being visible but with objects inside that are visible. when a container is hidden all the objects contained within it should be hidden
- selection
- rectangular / circular / ay other type of selection to be included. it is not possible to select elements one by one when you have thousands of objects in a scene
3.windows/ panels
- ability to take any of the windows such as scene, library, media etc and disassociate them from the main TM window. to be able to take them and place them on a second screen as a panel
4.Shortcuts
- ability to modify/ create your own keyboard shortcuts for most all the tools
thank you
