use simplify tool without low qaulity of texture

hi

I scan human face with capturingreality software and it give me a real and best result and after I want  use  fbx format of this object to  vuforia/unity AR app but my problem is exported  fbx file  is very heavy and when use it in unity and vuforia, app is crashed , also I try to reduce file size of object with simplify tool  but object quality is very bad and object and texture is not real , how can I use simplify tool for low poly without low qaulity of texture

did you deactivate normals and vertex color for export? That schould reduce the file size.

Did you re-calculate the texture after simplification? Is it possible that you need to raise the Large Triangle Removal Treshold?

my steps from import images  to export fbx file :

1- import images with +folder   or +image in left top of realitycapturing software

2- Align images with >>> align images in 2.process section in workflow tab

3 - cilck on Normal detail   in Reconstruction tab on left top 

4- click Texture in Reconstruction tab 

5 - click mesh in export section and select .fbx format

fbx file size == 185 MB

3 cilck on  Normal detail   in  Reconstruction  tab on left top 

4- click  Texture  in Reconstruction tab 

5- click simplify tool  in tools section and set to 500000

6- click  Texture  in Reconstruction tab 

7 - click  mesh  in  export  section and select .fbx format 

fbx file size == 85 MB

and texture qulity very bad

Are you sure that you are viewing the exported mesh with textures turned on? If you just look at it with only vertex colors enabled you will see a “bad” texture as it is only using the color information attached to the vertices.

 

Also, you can skip step 4 in your second workflow to speed things up a bit. It is not required.

You can select many things in the dialog that pops up when you export the mesh.

For the Large Triangle Removel Threshold you can either look in the help or the forum - there should be plenty of advice…  ;-)  Bottom Line is that it defines the size of triangles that RC will ignore for texturing.

Sorry for the late reply, my problem solve with use simplify  tool (7k vertex) after reconstruction and RC give me a good texture
