Use of unreal engine

Greetings, I need help, please install Unreal on a PC with Internet and when I move the disk to another PC without Internet, Unreal does not work as I can
fix that???

Hey engel669! Welcome to the forums!

Unfortunately Unreal uses system files with installation, you’ll need to install on the computer you’re going to use it on through the launcher :frowning: which means you’ll have to have internet on that computer. I wish you luck!

Greetings @engel669 !

Welcome to the Unreal Engine community! :medal_sports:

Just so you’re aware, I’ve had to move this topic from the Feedback for Unreal Engine Team forum to the Getting Started - Installation & Setup forum. I added the optional tag “Installation” for you.

The Feedback for Unreal Engine Team forum is for suggestions on how to improve the Unreal Engine. But no worries!

Just remember, when posting, be sure to review the categories to ensure your topic is posted in the most relevant space.

Sorry, I meant to say that you’d need use of the internet to install, but not afterwards unless you want patches. Yes, you could install from source. I don’t know why I didn’t think of that. Sysprep COULD do it, but that seems like a lot more work than just finding a way to temporarily access the internet with a machine, but everybody’s situation is different.

The problem with #2 is that from what I understood that is what the OP tried to do, and it wasn’t working.

ok sorry for my english, it’s not my native language,
move to disk is what you comment. install the UE on a ssd disk connected to a pc that has internet…later connect the same disk to another pc in my house without internet but the unreal didn’t work

hmm… it’s true there are many people of different nationalities who can help but I think if I ask in English it will be faster… I think xD.
ok they are distant my pc is I5 the one at work is pentium my video card is rtx the one at work is nvidea but old.
Yesterday I managed to start the video game interface that Unreal has
I think it’s a good sign

hello start yesterday the UE can load an obj
I load the file I can see it but I don’t add anything because of the graphics card message…
The strange thing is that I don’t load the textures that I add in 3d max

Hey again @engel669!

Congrats on getting this far! You’re definitely going to want to update your graphics driver. That’s a pretty old version you’ve got there. I can’t say that will fix all of your problems but it’s going to be an issue regardless with them being that old.

Here’s a link to the website itself, just fill out your info and download that to bring home to your home PC!
