Use custom launcher greyed out

I’m developing for iOS on PC using UE 5.5 and then building on a Mac mini. I’ve had issues with the aspect ratio on iPad and created a custom launch screen in Xcode. But when I try to select use custom storyboard launcher under platform - iOS in project settings it is greyed out. The three dots to set the icons are also greyed out (but these were previously set). These options are only greyed out on the Mac. However, when I tried to add the storyboard on PC and checked the box it didn’t give me an option to choose the storyboard file. I tried copying the files into build/ios/resources/interface and the asset folder into /resources and then copy the project over to Mac to build but I got a bunch of validation errors claiming there were no icons set when I tried to upload to Apple. Any idea how I can add a custom storyboard?

Hi, yeah the problem is that you are using unreal engine.
Im at my wits end with it (5 months wasted on the project).
If you are only just getting into your project you are probably best moving to unity, godot, source 2 etc (unreal does not work).
If you need help you wont get it, this might hopefully save you a few months of your life!

Haha, unfortunately I’m deep into it, beta testing and hoping to launch soonish. I used Unity for a VR project in the past then rebuilt it for unreal engine and preferred it. Probably should have used Godot or something else for this one but way too late to turn back.
