I’ve sent an update request for an upcoming marketplace item about 5 days ago, and got no response within 24-48 hours. I’ve sent another message and still getting no response.

Yeah e-mails to the marketplace team often get lost or what not. Best bet is to get attention here, or the best way is to hit them up on the Unreal Engine Slackers in the #marketplace channel.
