Im sorry if this is the wrong forum channel but i wanted to raise this in the Fab section
I purchased a pack through fab via uefn months and months ago and i purchased the UEFN Reference pack.
Now skip forward 6 months and i wanted to change the material but unfortunatyly it is read only due to the pack being UEFN referenced.
I did what you would expect and went to fab and clicked on the same pack again thinking i could upgrade and pay the difference or worst case purchase the version i wanted for the full price.
They is no options for upgrading the pack or even purchasing a new version it just says owned and show in library/download
I was able to email the seller and they was so kind to send me the files FOC but this is i would assume not a small thing and many people must have/had this issue before. Not only is the creator losing money but Epics commission but the content creator themselves have this limitation which is not good.
1 of my friends has had the same issue and they were advised to do a refund on a pack then wait for the refund then buy the better version if thats an option or even send money via paypal to the creator who would then send the files.
This has a few issues firstly you cannot see the value of the upgraded content so you as a creator could be unfortunate to find a creator who is not trustworthy and charge x amouont more tbh you wouldnt know.
Secondly its not the way to be doing these transactions going through a third party when Epic themselves have the system.
I just wanted to share my experience to support the creators who have content on fab
