Hello, i am working on a shoe model on reality capture that had 1.7m vertices simplified to 15k vertices and applied 2k textures on it and when i press share button next to export button and select ‘upload to sketchfab’ the title screen and the description screen pops up, i write title and such and select my mesh quality to medium as its 2k aswell (i tried with original aswell which was 8k) and proceeded to upload and had this error ‘‘preparing and uploading model’’ with a small text below says ‘‘Invalid or corrupted data’’ and with giving me that screen my whole model dissapears from the scene except the camera alignments. i had to redo the alignment settings and normal detail and such and with different methods of settings with lowering the quality but still get the same issue. how do i fix this?emphasized text
Hi 3dinoz,
there is a bug regarding Sketchfab upload for PPI but it should be solved in next release.
What are your upload settings? Do you have set Allow further simplification there? How many 2k textures has your model? The limitation is 300k polygons and 1 x 4k texture for free upload.
So when i try to upload to sktechfab on reality capture, the default settings were 100k triangles with option to choose low 75k) and 8192x8192 resolution as default. medium results were 2048x2048 which what i was hoping to select but both didnt work anyways. how do i select ‘‘allow further simplification’’ ?
When you are uploading your model, do you see something like this:
As there is a bug you need to have created 4k texture before Sketchfab upload and have those options unchecked.
Thank you very much, i will try it and will tell you the result!
