Upgrading to UE4 v. 4.21

How would I upgrade a project from Unreal Engine 4.20 to Unreal Engine 4.21?

  1. Use version control software, and make a commit. Source Tree is great.

  2. Download 4.21 from Epic Launcher. (Be on Library Tab, click the + icon to download the new version)

  3. Use the drop down arrow to select the version you want.

  4. Launch the Engine with the Yellow Button.

  5. You will see a selection screen with your project. A number will be next to it if said project isn’t on the latest version.

  6. Double Click the project you want to upgrade.

  7. Create a backup (if you will be given the option) if you skipped step 1.
