Upgrading a 4.26 Project to UE5 broke some Montages

So the project contains a character that can roll in 8 directions using montages and it works just fine. Now I open the project in UE5 and those montages always move forward which is like it is stuck on the same axis. The animations look right in UE5 though. I can see the character rolling in different directions. Anyone having issues with montages?

I forgot to mention the animations are using the Animation First Frame as “Root Motion Root Lock” and that could be the culprit. Something might not be working as before in UE5. Also this was all done inside UE4. I mean I rotated the root bone in order to make the character roll in different directions and using that option allowed me to do it without having to do everything on a external program.
