Upgraded to the latest, user library gone!

Hi, I updated to the latest build and now all my materials from Quixel and all my user library has gone! How do I get it back?

Hello,

The User Library files for Twinmotion need to be manually moved to the User Library folder for new Twinmotion releases, although this process is very simple.

  1. First, navigate to the User Library folder from the previous build of Twinmotion in your File Explorer/Finder - for example, this would be in the C:\Users\%username%\Documents\Twinmotion2022.1\UserLibrary by default on Windows if you want to move content from Twinmotion 2022.1 to 2022.2.
  2. Copy the contents of this folder
  3. Navigate to the User Library folder of the new build
  4. Paste the files into this folder

Your User Library should now be useable in the new build.

Best,

This doesn’t address the issues with downloaded library objects such as people, trees, etc that need to be downloaded before using - those don’t download into the user library.

This has been a constant issue since I started using Twinmotion in 2018 - and with a slow internet connection it takes a very long time to re-download everything, plus the added bloat of having multiple downloads of the same object for each release since I have to retain those in case older projects need updating.

Which folder do all of our files download into when we click the ‘download’ arrow next to objects in the various libraries that come with Twinmotion? How can we use those same downloaded objects in future releases?
